2011 Olympics Athletics 50p Circulated Coin
Issued as one of the 29 Olympic 50p designs to commemorate the games in London 2012. Each 50p features a different Olympic sport.
Nine year-old Florence Jackson is the youngest person to ever design a UK coin having won a Blue Peter competition which included more than 17,000 entries. Roared on by home support, and with the likes of Jessica Ennis and Mo Farah competing, team GB had a successful time in the Athletics stadium, winning six medals in total - four of them gold.
